Call for Papers

HUMIC 2017 (HUMor in InteraCtion) welcomes position and scientific papers (4-max.12 pages) from a wide range of disciplines, such as human-computer interaction, computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, social robotics, psychology, media, arts etc. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following:

Computational humor approaches & applications
Humorous virtual agents & social robots & chatbots
Linguistics and non-linguistics challenges in designing humor
Evaluation approaches for humorous interactions
Humorous interactions with and within online communities and social networks
Cultural and social norms for appropriate humorous interactions

Papers in Springer LNCS Format - used for INTERACT 2017 - should be submitted electronically as PDF through EasyChair submission link before the deadline on 15th June 2017. Submissions do not need to be anonymous. Accepted papers will be published in the official adjunct conference proceedings. Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for a special issue in a journal (currently being organized).
